preggo update
I went to the doctor FINALLY!! My first appointment was on Monday the 14th. We had an ultrasound done and saw the baby!!! It was sooo cool. A little creepy looking in 4D! It’s so bizarre to think I have a baby growing inside me. I’ve gained 12 pounds so far. I also found out I’m farther along than I thought. On Monday I was 12 weeks. Right now I’m in week 13. I guess technically I’m 12 weeks and 3 days along. Not much farther till the second trimester. I’m due January 26, 2009!
I still feel pretty good. My heartburn is getting better, but still present. There has still been no morning sickness. I do require more sleep now and I frequently pee! At the doctor’s office they did a urine culture and found I have a bladder infection. I’m on antibiotics now. I didn’t even realize anything was wrong. Another obstacle right now is finding clothes to wear!! All my regular clothes are too tight and maternity clothes are too big. I don’t want to invest in clothes that are regular sizes but just a few sizes larger than what I wear. I don’t know what I’ll do. I’ve found a few consignment shops with maternity clothes. Maybe I can find something to fit me for the next few weeks.
I was in Savannah, GA last week with the Junior High youth on mission trip. That was exhausting!! Sunday I leave for Chicago, IL on the Senior High mission trip. Can you tell I planned these trips BEFORE I knew I was pregnant?? Being away from home for 2 weeks out of July is killing me!
In several books I’ve read they suggest taking one last vacation before the baby comes. I think they called it a babymoon!! So now that the second trimester is quickly approaching my DH suggested a trip! His only stipulations were no disney world or new york city. He thinks I go to both of those places too much! We are trying to think of somewhere new that neither of us have been to before. Right now, with the doctor’s permission, we’re leaning to an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean. Hopefully we’ll be able to find a trip in our price range and find a good time to go that won’t interfere with our time with my step son.
