12 weeks of nothing….

So, I looked over my excel spreadsheet where I track my weight… it looks like I’ve been playing with the same 2 or 3 pounds for a freaking 3 months now!!! ARGH!!! 12 weeks… under 144 but never making it under 140- very frustrating. I guess the good news is that I’ve been basically maintaining over the extremely crazy busy summer- and mostly without Boot Camp too. The other good thing is that even though my weight hasn’t really changed much over the past 3 months, I can tell a difference in my body- things are all firming up & there is a lot more muscle definition than there was at the end of last BC. Even my “baby belly” is mostly all gone!! Only a little jiggly left there- and hey, I had 3 kids in 4 1/2 years- I don’t mind a small “battle scar”!! :D Anyway, I’m going to pull out my after measurements from the Spring session of BC & compare them to the starting ones I just took this week. I think I’ll see my difference there even if the scale doesn’t want to show it yet!

But I still need a jump start- I have got to get really serious about counting & posting my menus again so that I can get to where I want to be & maintain THERE!! So, this is me- COMMITTING that I WILL push myself & be disciplined enough to get all the way to my goal- not just hover & “cheat” if I feel like it just because I don’t feel fat anymore. I want to get to my goal & I WILL!!! I AM GOING TO SEE 135 BY CHRISTMAS!!!

So here’s my menu for today… trying to save up some points b/c we’re going to Outback with a huge group of friends tonight for my hubby’s 30th birthday. I plan to behave- gonna split my steak with Jason… but having a really hard time feeling full & not mindlessly munching this morning. Breakfast did NOTHING for me & for that, was WAY too many points…. anyway… gonna try to use as few FP’s as possible tonight (and I am going back to my 24 pts./day) Here it is…

Great BC workout this morning!!! I can’t write about it now b/c I have to go into work for a 1/2 day on Wednesdays… so I really need to hit the showers & get ready, but I just wanted to start my menu off for the day so that I can make sure I stay OP all day instead of tallying up at the end. Alright, so I went over my plan for today by 1/2 a point- BUT that still only puts me at 23.5 for the day instead of my normal 24 (plus AP) b/c I cut to 22 for the rest of my week, so I’m happy with that. I really think that I need to get some more sleep… I know that not getting enough affects weight loss. I’ve been exhausted- even been taking naps, but still sometimes feel like I can’t keep my eyes open. Yes, I know it’s almost midnight as I type this and complain about lack of sleep, BUT I get so much more accomplished at night than I do when my kids aren’t awake. I don’t know… I’m torn because my squad wants to get together & do some cardio on our off days- but early in the morning still… I just really need my sleep on my off days- especially since I already play competitive volleyball 2 nights a week PLUS volleyball practice 1-2x a week on top of BC… but it makes me feel like I’m not doing my job as squad leader- like I’m letting them down & like I need to chose between being awake to work out with them or being awake in the afternoon to play with my kids. Obviously no one but me is putting that pressure on me but me, but I want so much to be a REALLY GOOD squad leader- especially b/c almost all of my recruits are newbies- I just can’t seem to help but feel guilty. Anyway… I should get to bed- I did bail on tomorrow morning with my group. I may try to meet them next week, but I just don’t know if I can “do it ALL”. Really now… I am going to bed! Good night!! :D



Drill might be watching…

At some point, he will be checking up on me here, so I’d better get my menu up!! I emailed him yesterday b/c he gave us notebooks & told us to log our menus which he will then collect from us & comment on them. I tried writing it all down, but the perfectionist in me really needs that backspace button, PLUS, then when he collects them, it bothers me that there are 3 or 4 days missing out of the middle & I don’t remember how many flex points I have left… it was just frustrating & I knew that as busy as my days are right now there was no way I could blog & journal. SO, I asked him for permission to ditch the journal & just continue recording my eating on my blog & said that he was welcome to come check in on me at any time. SO… even though I don’t really feel like posting a menu today… I’d like to avoid getting my a$$ kicked for not journaling as instructed- and I would… especially as a squad leader (as I should)…. SO (boy I like that word tonight…) no more procrastination… here it is, not great, but here!

Alright… so I’m over points. Getting going again…

So this weekend was BAD…  we had a really, really nice time away together, but the eating….  NOT pretty!!!  And of course, I didn’t just stop it right away when we got back.  It was bad today too….  leftover birthday cake… (my hubby turned 30 today!!!) McDonalds….. Dove…….  I told you…. BAD!!!   The only good things are that  one, tomorrow is a new day & a fresh start- the fridge is well stocked with healthy choices so I can finish the week strong!  TWO- Boot Camp ROCKED today!!!  I don’t think that I have sweat that much in a Looooooooooooooong time!!!  I’m calculating 70 minutes at HIGH today PLUS I had a volleyball match tonight, so that’s another 90 minutes at medium intensity…. so that gives me….. 12 ACTIVITY POINTS FOR TODAY!!! 

I will begin posting  menus again tomorrow- the cake is in the trash can & I WILL eat healthy for the rest of the week!!!  I need to get to bed- it’s already late & I still need to shower!  Have a great day!!  :D

Frustrated… :/

Well… I thought last week was too good to be true. I was pretty disappointed with my WI this morning- although, I do have to say, and I assume this is the reason I’m up, Aunt Flo has come to visit AGAIN- even though she was just here two weeks ago… ARGH- GO AWAY you’re screwing up my WI!!! So, who knows where that REALLY puts me… was last week’s WI a fluke? Can PMS really make you “gain” that much & I’ve really lost this week? Frustrating… but nothing I can do about it… oh well- on to a new week!


Speaking of, I’ve decided that I’m going to keep my food journals here online instead of in the notebook from Drill. I can’t do both & if he asks for it, I’ll go back & write it out, but I’m too much of a perfectionist to be using pen & paper. I need my backspace button!! LOL! :D  Besides that, I miss you guys!!  BC is going well- still loving it & can’t wait to see what Drill throws at us next!

Hubby & I are leaving today & headed to Hershey for the weekend. It was our 9 year anniversary on Wednesday- hard to believe- it’s gone by so quickly! Anyway, it’s probably a good thing that new Flex points start today! :D So, that’s about it… other than I’m planning to get my hair cut- something different & I’m excited. I’ll post pics … Anyway… here’s my menu so far! Have a great day! :D

I love it when I see a ZERO on the right side of my scale b/c I know that pretty soon after that I’ll get to see a new number in the middle!!! I have to admit that I am pretty shocked by my WI this morning…. don’t get me wrong, the scale has been going down all week & I KNOW that the small gains I had over the past three weeks while I was being LAZY weren’t fat…. but I really didn’t expect my body to shed it that quickly & then some! I will say, that I have worked my A$$ off this week- 3 rounds of Boot Camp & I also played some competitive volleyball for 2 1/2 hrs. last night in addition to eating within my points… so I know it’s not just a fluke! I’m sorry that I haven’t been posting menus or even just much of anything lately- with coaching volleyball, BC & just trying to fit everything in, it’s been pretty crazy around here. I AM tracking my menu though- Drill is having everyone write everything they eat down & collecting our journals weekly- I just don’t have the time/energy to write it all out twice- sorry, I am NOT going to not write for Drill or I’d be in MUCHO trouble, so you’ll have to be stuck w/o it for now!!! I am proud to say that even though my flex points were gone on Saturday night, that I did stay OP with the exception of using an AP or two here & there!

Quick Catch up…

Ok, so hubby & I went out Saturday night…  sometimes he is so bad for me!!  I can’t blame it all on him though, I made the choices to eat what I did & I put the food in my mouth.  He just took me to the place that has my all time FAVORITE dessert…  and by now, you all know that desserts are my BIGGEST weakness….

SO…  the rest of my flex points are GONE!!  But, yesterday, despite my Little Man’s birthday party- I can’t believe that my BABY is 2 years old already!!!  - I did ok eating wise.   Well, not really…  I chose to skip dinner entirely so that I could have cake & ice cream, so the actual menu sucked… but points wise was ok.  Today & the rest of the week will be better…  plus I’ll have BOOT CAMP!!  :D

Speaking of….  I am PROUD & EXCITED to say…  I am the Squad Leader of Squad #2!!!  :D  More on that later- just got back from BC & have a very busy morning, so I need to get in the shower ASAP!!  Have  a GREAT day!!!  :D
