I watched Randy Pausch’s “Last Lecture” video this morning. I think I should watch this every morning to absorb a little bit every day and make his joy of life my own. One take away this morning was “what is MY brick wall?”.. the thing that is holding me back from reaching my dreams? It is my unhappiness of my body image. Being overweight is my brick wall. His comment was that brick walls were put in place to stop people who really don’t want something badly enough. Those that do, find away to go through or around or over the brick wall. Profound.
I am deeply inspired by anyone who has passion, has possitive energy, and is willing to share. Thank you Randy, the world has lost a great teacher.

Hot and muggy again today. Ugh. Walked on my lunch hour and at dusk. 6.25 miles on my pedometer! Stayed OP today after getting sidetracked over the last few days. Found the 1 pt beer… definitely a winner in my book on a hot summer night.

WOOT!!! WI - down to my lowest ever weight in two decades! Also only 3 lbs away from my WW 10%. Went walking at lunch w/ co-worker. Very humid again today so we took it easy.
I’m tracking food in a spreadsheet right now to see if that works better.. it calculates points for me. I’m all for something easier. I put it on a thumb drive and can plug it in at work or home.. no more trying to get online to post here during working hours w/co-workers lurking over my shoulder.
Now if I can just keep up the tracking and exercise to make it a habit.

Really nice day today. Went walking at lunch - Gerald Ford museum had free admission in honor of his birthday, so we spent most of the walk going through the exhibits.
Oatmeal/pudding (the usual) (3 pts)
24 oz coffee
2 cups veggie couscous (7 points)
2 cups frozen grapes (2 pts)
cream cheese danish (@ 7 pts)
chicken buritto w/ salsa (10 points)
29 points today - one point under! 3.5 miles on the pedometer.

Slept in late, felt wonderful. Cleared off the kitchen table and shredded, filed or paid bills from all the paper clutter. Cleaned the rest of the house with DH’s help. Went Groc shopping and cooked up veggie couscous for lunches for the coming week.
-english muffin w/ peanut butter & honey (5 pts)
-coffee w/ ff milk (2 pts)
-left overs from last night (fish & pasta) @ 13 pts
-Wendy’s small chili (4 pts)
-chicken burito w/ salsa & melted shredded cheddar cheese (12 pts)

I’m using the spreadsheet someone posted to track calories & points… it calculates all the point values and I can keep it on a flash drive and keep it with me both at home & at work. I think it will force me to be more accountable tracking points.
-english muffin w/ thick slicke of Bologna & laughing cow cheese (5 pts)
24 oz coffee w/ ff milk (2 pts)
- bocca burger w/ salsa on english muffin (2.5pts)
-strawberry/ pinnapple / OJ smoothie (3.5 points)
-two beers! ( 8 pts! OMG)
-fish fillet ( @ 9 pts)
-@ 1 cup of angel hair pasta (4 pts)
-garden salad w/ ranch dressing (2.5 pts)
-one piece of dark chocolate (1 pt)
-1 individual serving bag of 94% FF popcorn (2 pts)
Used up 9 of my flex points! :( and didn’t get any exercise at all.

WI at noon today. Very discouraged.. up nearly 4lbs! Hopefully some of it is muscle from all the walking I’ve done over the last two weeks. I’m sure eating out with visiting family also has something to do with the gain.

Yesterday was a bust - I walked almost 5 miles along the boardwalk & Pier & Beach in Grand Haven. Didn’t pig out but didn’t keep track of what I was eating… I know I was over points. So today I’m back on track again. WI tomorrow. Should be interesting.

4pm - ice cream… I know, I know…it was an impulse
